It's December!!

Well it is December! Yes it is true. I hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving. We had a great one with family, friends, and people we had not met before. A good time was had by all! For some reason this year I was having a really hard time waiting till December 1st to start my Christmas decorating (that is the norm for me in years past) so I didn't wait, what's a few days early?  Now that both the boys have their own room we don't have much space for a real big tree this year. So we are just using a small (fake) table top tree that I had bought.  My dear husband has always been so good to go along with my hair brained ideas for a theme for our tree. As my way of saying thanks, I decided last Christmas that I would do a tree for him in his Denver Broncos. Yup that's right our tree is orange and blue, and I even found all orange lights (thanks to Halloween ;)  of course the boys helped to decorate it.  I like how it turned out!

I also got a great idea from Pintrest, on how to make a "tree" from your tomato cage. It was very fun to do with the boys! Nick helped with putting on the greenery...
No silly boy not on you, on the cage...LOL
there we go that's right! Jared helped put it outside and hung ornaments on it...

I had so much fun trying something new with the boys!!!

We have been doing the elf on the shelf thing for a few years now. Thanks to the "Nana" who gave us our Vintage little elf. He is probably older than me. I had no idea how popular it is. Till I was surfing the web, and it is all over the place. It is just as fun for me! This year we decided to share with you all the Adventures Of Our Elf, Peppermint!  This morning we found him under the tree with a note that he wrote for the boys.

We named him Peppermint cause his cloths are striped like a peppermint candy cane.  He said he will just hang around and might even pull a few pranks, we'll see what he does... Yes that is John's old John Elway figure, we had too, don't judge LOL! More to come...
