Short school week for the boys!

It was a short school week for the boys this week. Nick went on a field trip to see a play on Tuesday called Let's Go Science Show. They had a half day on Wednesday, and no school on Thursday and Friday on account of Parent Teacher Conferences. Nicklas is doing well in class, but with everyone there is always room for improvement. He needs to improve on keeping his desk more organized, and he is still reading a little slow, but will continue to work on it. Jared is also doing well. She nothing but good to say about him. He has come a long way in  his writing, but I have to say Mrs. Carter is a great teacher. Actually both boys have great teachers! God has blessed us. Just a quick note out of order, keep Nick in your prayers. He has made friends with a boy named Max. I'm not sure he is the best influence on Nick (nick can tend to be a follower). Max does not always make good choices. My prayer is that Nick will learn that he can be a good influence on Max and that God will send a buddy for Nick that would be a good influence. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I don't want him to be friends with Max... I just worry as a Mom (I think a need to really give it to God). I also Ask for your prayers, for myself. Have you ever had one of those weeks were you run around like a chicken with you head cut off? You fall into bed beyond exhausted but still have things on your list for that day that did not get done and you have to pile then on to the list for the next day. There is absolutely no time for you to take a breather even on the weekends. Well that is what it has been like for me the past 3 weeks, and I need a break... I am sorry to complain, and I know that God is trying to teach me something but I'm not sure what. Thanks all God Bless! Love you ...

Thanks for your prayers

Thanks so much for all your prayers for my Aunt Lori. She is recovering very well and Mom was able to go and help her out and make sure she did not overdue, (it runs in the family). She still has a long road ahead with radiation and keeping up with the family, but God is good and I know He will give her the strength she needs. This week life was just really busy, but we got things done. On the 17th Saint Patty's day Jared had his second performance of the year with his band. I was very impressed at how much they have progressed since the last concert. They will have one more at the end of the school year, can't wait for that one! I also made Corned beef and cabbage for the first time. I really enjoyed it the boys like the meat, but John would be ok with it oh about once a year HAHA. I went and had my MRI, I will go back to get results on the 29th. Just a quick side note for Mom Cline, I had to get Jd size 14 that's right 14 in new britches, I could not believe it! Nick had his first soccer game this past Saturday, and they won 9 to 2! He got to play goalie and stopped a few. He was very bouncy and busy, but he enjoyed it and was very tired afterward. :D Although I was a very bad girl and forgot to take my camera. I know  his first game! grrr. Oh well there is one this coming Saturday! Till then God bless, and love you all.

New news

Just sending an updates out. I saw the Dr about my ankle, and like the other Dr, he could not find anything wrong with the x-rays. He ordered an MRI so I'm waiting to hear when that will be. Mom got to San Diego just fine to be with Aunt Lori. The meeting for the Aspire school for Jared was very informative. Jared was super excited about it! I was thankful for that. They will have a 7 period day that the school will teach them how to navigate and get to classes ( I thought that was great to learn before they get to High School). He will have to work very hard but I think it will be the right fit for him. They have a leadership program that I could see him getting involved in. It also offers neat science classes (he enjoys science). So we filled out the application and they will notify us if he gets accepted for this coming school year. If  he does not he might have a chance to go in the 7th grade (wow that sounds really weird, my Jared in the 7th grade...) that is all for now. Love you all!

Crasy busy week...

Before I get to this week I would just like you all to keep my Aunt Lori in your prayers. This past Saturday I was an emotional wreck, even before I got the call from Aunt Lori. She was calling to say that she has breast cancer. She did not know any more at the time, & was worried of course about anything and everything a mom and wife would worry about when faced with that kind of gut punching news. Also trying to keep in mind that God is in control and she is His. But she was still very upset. She had a Dr.s appt on Monday and would find out more then.  Monday came and she called me after her app. and she was much more optimistic, The Dr. said that they caught it early and they would remove the cells and she would just have to do radiation not kemo. Praise the Lord! Still keep the prayers coming please, they scheduled the surgery for this Tuesday March 8th, and Mom is flying out to be with her and help out during recovery for about a week. For us it was back to school with homework complete and extra reading minutes done. The boys are having a reading fundraiser for school through march 11th. They did not enjoy the extra minutes at first but I think they are use to it now. Tuesday was fairly normal and routine. Wednesday on the other hand was a world wind day. First off it was early release for the boys, so they get out of school @ 1:20 instead of 2:50. When I look at it written down it does not seem like that much, but when your keeping two other cute munchkins that are use to a certain schedule and you have to change it, it can make things hard. A friend also needed me to keep her kids for a few hours in the afternoon, and they got out of school at 1. So I went to the school to pick up my friends 2, and then rushed off to get my 2 boys (they are so helpful on days like these, I can't tell you how blessed I am to have such great and willing  helpers). Then there was homework, snacking, reading, and playing. Jared's trumpet was in the shop getting fixed, and I got the call that it was ready to get picked up. So after all the other kids were gone, we rushed off again to get Jd's trumpet and get so much needed laundry soap and dog food. Got back home just in enough time to wolf down dinner and head back out to church. Needless to say I was a bit wiped out, and that feeling carried over to the next day. Thursday, I only worked half day and had my ankle checked out. Then in the evening John and I went to the Aspire school meeting that got canceled last month. I will fill you all in on the rest of the week soon. Hugs to you all :)
