Catching up again

So here I'm again after while. Seeing how I'm a little brain dead right now please for give me if things don't quite make sense. We have reached the end of the spring soccer season for this year and Nick had a blast, we will be signing him back up in the fall. Here are a few shots of the last game and the kids getting their trophies, and a team shot.

We also had a few Birthdays this month John's and Jared's. We did not have a big shindig this year cause we are planning a trip to Cali in July, so we are saving our pennies.

JC got a used ds for the train trip in July.

JD got a math game for the ds and of course a star wars game.
and a little money to spend on our vacation. We were really non traditional, did not have a cake, instead I made him a banana split. I also took some snacks into his class, which he was not expecting, and then took him out of school to take him to lunch just him and I. It was nice, but also funny cause his class earned a pajama day, and that was on his birthday. So off we went to lunch in his camo pj's.  Then it was time for momma to cut so hairs, and Nicklas had his heart set on a buzz cut just like daddy. I really did not want to but I thought, he might not like it, (I knew I wouldn't) and the only way to know for sure is to just do it. The great thing about hair is, it will grow back. So this is all the hair that came off his head.

And he says he likes it but we will see... it is not my favorite, But that smile, how can I resist it?  We also took the boys to get their eyes checked out. Nick has been getting quite a few really bad headaches after he reads. The kind that you don't want to eat, feel sick to your stomach, and you just want to sleep. Jared has 20/20 vision, and did great! Nick has really good vision too, but Dr. thinks that he might be holding things too close when he reads so that makes his eyes strain, and that is what is giving him the headaches, he also thought that a really small RX just for reading might help. The glasses came in this week.

What a ham Nick! Also this week Jared had to got to the Dr. to get his 11year check up, and shots for going into the 6th grade. He was very nervous about it, but when we got there and saw the Dr I think he was a little better. We are so blessed to have her she is great just like Dr Golden (Jared's very first Dr. and John childhood Dr. for those that don't know) She makes you feel at ease. He did really well getting his shots, he was going to watch the nurse give him the shot, she told him to turn his head. I think that was the right choice.
He did not cry or freak out. He did have a slight reaction to the adhesive on the band-aide, not sure what is up with that but we'll see.
Well i think that about does it for now. That's all Folks! Love ya'll!

Good by to this soccer season

Well the spring soccer season is over, and we are still wondering where our spring weather is. LOL! Nicklas really enjoyed playing so we will sign him up for the fall season. It was a 3pm game time and I think that the boys are not used to playing that late and they were all not really focused on the game. So they got wiped, but overall they fun this season. Here are a few shots of the last game. Nicklas practicing before the game.

Then the next day, I had a few hair cuts to do, JC was first Nick and then JD.  Nick said "I want hair like Daddy." I really did not want to cut it like that, but I thought that he might like it and he might not, but the only way to know for sure is to just do! The great thing about hair is that it will grow back... sigh... so here it is, hold on to your britches...

He really likes it!

He started feeling it, still likes it...
This is ALL the hair off his head... :(  We will see if he still likes it later. I have not made up my mind yet... I'm glad he likes it though :) Till next time
