Trains, Family, Friends, and Fun (part 2)

Ok so where did I leave off...Oh yea, Sea World! I forgot some pictures from Sea World (see I told you I was tired lol) This is Jared by the ship in the polar bear exhibit . (he still loves ships and pirates)
Nick and Christan waiting so patiently for us to decide where to go next. With 14 people we did really well no one got left behind and we all saw everything we wanted.
Not sure who this guy was, but we took a picture with him anyway LOL!
Cute cousins only one month (exactly) apart!
Now John's dad makes some really great Spaghetti. So he made some and there were left over taco shells, from the night before. So what did Nick want for dinner? Yup, spaghetti tacos :p sounds gross to me. He loved them! Ok...

We also hit up Disneyland! But we had someone on the inside LOL! Thanks Nicole! She gave us some great info. Seeing how we were a sad bunch, one of us had a bad ankle walking with a cane, one a bad knee and back, and one more had a really bad back. We rented a wheelchair, and got a pass so did not have to wait in the two hour lines, thank the Lord.  I did not get as many pictures there cuz we were so busy riding rides. This is John's dad, Butch with the boys waiting for us.
Nicklas is such a goof ball but he is my goof ball and I wouldn't have it any other way!
This right after we rode thunder mountain, I rode once but John, his sister Shannon, Emilee, Jared and Nick rode a total of three times!

The grandparents and the grand kids. I'm truly blessed to have such loving and Godly in-laws, but I don't even like to say in-laws, their  Mom and Dad Cline.

                                                                   Us and the boys.

We made our way to Small World and it was time for the clock to open up and see all the little people, all though my shot is kind of far away...

                                                                     Our boys...

After that we hit finding Nemo (used to be the Submarine ride), then Autotopia, and let the kids drive... yes it was bad LOL lets just say they are not driving any time soon! We rode all kinds of rides, to many to list, but I do have to say one of the last rides was Space Mountain. John said that the best part of that, was Emilee screaming bloody murder (she was having fun) through out the whole ride. He said all he could do was laugh! We rode a few more rides, but after that we were too pooped to party anymore ( I don't know why it was only midnight). We did some shopping and the boys had Disney gift cards from their birthday to use. They both got a build your own lightsaber, I know, big shocker LOL. That night we came home and crashed! Especially John, he push one of us in the wheelchair all day long.
The next thing we had planed was a Pirate Dinner Adventure in Buena Park, just down the street from the Hollywood wax museum.

                                                                    Our little pirates!
This was a dinner and show thing, we couldn't use our flash on the camera while inside because it was distracting to the performers as they were doing the stunts, especially when they were on the ropes.
                                                                      Our place settings

We sat in a colored section and each section had a pirate that we were supposed to cheer on. We were in the Orange section, and our pirate was great, but I can't remember his name. He was mostly reffered to as orange pirate.
Most of the pictures I took were too dark to post but you get the idea. John got involved in the show and helped pull up the sails, of the ship, but it was off to the side so I did not get a shot of him in the show. Our pirate was kind enough to stick around after the show and let us take picts with him.
The boys are trying to growl and make mean faces, but they were having too much fun, to look to mean.

This was the Captain Sebastian the Black and his wife Treasure ;)  The kids are so happy!

I think it was a hit! We had a lot of fun, and food was really good too.

One of the last things we wanted to do was to take the boys down to the Redondo Beach Pier. We used to go there when we were dating.

I'm not sure what it is about the ocean but it is calming for me. I do miss it...

I loved this, they all have their eyes closed cuz the sun is in their eyes!

On the day before we left, we spent some time with family, John's Grandparents on his dad's side.

Paul and Betty Cline, Grandma and Pawpaw...
Uncle Bob, Aunt Sandra, Andrew (cousin) and Melissa Cline (cousin). It was so good to see everyone, and spend some time catching up with them. We had a wonderfully busy trip, and hopefully next time we will get to see more of the family. We are so blessed to have a large family. That's all Folks, have a great day!

Trains, Family, Friends, and Fun! (part 1)

It is so hard to believe that it has been over two years since we had been to California. This trip was long overdue. We only had one full weekend, that made it hard to hook up with all the family we wanted to see. We will just have to get them next time. We decided to take the train down to Cali. It was a new adventure, none of us had been on a train before. I'll take this time now to highly suggest that you take a short train ride before you tackle a 32 hour train ride with kids. LOL The trip home was not so bad now that I knew what to expect, but still very long...On the way down can you tell we just a bit excited?

These are some shots at the Portland Train Station. I thought this was funny, a random sculpture in the middle of nothing...

My boys killing time before the long ride...

I tried to give them plenty to do, books, drawing, coloring, card games, and of course the DS.

Jared Still loves to draw!

After a very long train ride, John's Dad (Butch) picked us up and took us to their house. Someone came downstairs to help us and it was about 10:30pm and dark I thought it was my sis-in-law Shannon. Boy was I wrong! It was my nice Emilee! She is so tall, I could not believe it! So after that shocker we settled in and hit the hay. We laid low the next day, and had a really nice dinner with my little brother Jason, and his lovely wife Jenn. We had made plans to go to Sea World and take Miss Emilee. She had no clue, it was a great surprise!
We also planned to spend time with my Aunt Lori, Uncle Randy and their kids at Sea World!

Do you see what I mean about Emilee being tall?
Me and my girls, top row left, Aunt Lori, cousin Whitney, Sister Jennifer, bottom row, Emilee, me, and cousin Kristina.
My guys! Top row, Uncle Randy, My honey JC, My bro. Jason. Bottom row, Eli, Christian, Jared, and Nick. Look out Sea World here we come!!!

 This was the dolphin show...
And the Shamu show, with yes, Shamu and Baby Shamu...

Over all it was a great day! Hot, we got toasted! LOL! We stayed to watch the fireworks show. Who doesn't love fireworks?!

Oh yea I almost forgot! On the way to Sea World, Nick tried on Emilee's sun glasses...
Now tell me he doesn't look like Elton John LOL Bbbbenny and the Jettsss....
Ok more to come I'm tired, glad to be back...
